Major Cookbook Awards for South Africa in London


On April 13 in London, South Africa books received major awards at the Gourmand World Cookbook  Awards.

Thanks to its refreshing and inventive new approach to cookbooks, Zhoozsh received the award for third “Best Cookbook in the World”. It is a unique cookbook, fun, with excellent recipes, with mouth watering stories. Jeremy Mansfield is the most successful radio host in the country, and Jacqui Mansfield is a best selling author. Jeremy is Nelson Mandela’s Honorary Grandson.

Hundreds of beautiful photographs and step by step instructions win a third place in “Best in the World for Desserts and Baking” for Fay Lewis and Neil Corder. It is also a book that shows how excellent team work is the key to a great cookbook.

The book came in third “Best in the World”, within a competition with 19 finalists from 19 countries.

All of the above books are exhibited at the London Book Fair April 14-16 on Stand U800 the Gourmand/LBF Cookbook Corner. They will later be at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October.
