Klipdrift & Cola Rock ’n Rolla this September at Bohemia

2011-08-26

This September,  Klipdrift and Cola bring you ROCK ‘N ROLLA @ Bohemia, every Thursday evening.  Cover charge is non-existent, and you get to see some of SA’s best acts for FREE! As usual, Bohemia will come to the party with great happy hour specials from 7-9pm.

The line-up sports some very exciting old and returning acts:

  • 1 September:

    Isochronous:
Isochronous will tour the country during the months of August and September and release their 3rd studio production “Inscape” at 10 different venues of South Africa. Additionally, the band will perform in South American and European countries later in the year only to return to South African soil and release Isochronous’ first “World Tour Live DVD”. Currently, the musical sky has no limit for this revolutionary and highly acclaimed South African band.

  • 8 September:

The Pretty Blue Guns: The Pretty Blue Guns are four best friends who love making a noise. They have been playing shows all over the country for the past few years with some of the country’s top acts, ranging from small intimate theatre shows to huge festivals. They recently released their latest album, Cutting Heads.

    Supported by

LA.VI: During the long, cold winter of 2010, four musicians, fueled by their familiar love for life and passion for all things music, united, body and mind to form what they appropriately named LA VI. Over last couple of months, LA.VI has been gigging extensively all over Cape Town and the rest of the country.

  • 15 September:

    Gerald Clark & Band
: A Stellenbosch-based singer and songwriter, Gerald dances around the campfire, the hallelujah and hellhounds never far behind. While keeping one foot firmly planted in the blues, Gerald has stepped outside musical boundaries. His acoustic Afrikaans album 'Sweepslag' ('Whiplash') was nominated as the best Afrikaans Alternative Music Album at the 2009 SAMA (South African Musicians and Artists) awards.

  • 22 September:

7th Son: One of Cape Town’s much loved Ska bands, 7th Son has been on the scene for years. They will be releasing their new album, Rude Rock Shakedown (Part 1) in the  beginning of September and will be sure to bring their new music to Bohemia.

  • 29 September:

Mr Cat & The Jackal: After the release of their second album Sins & Siren Songs in March this year, Mr Cat & The Jackal have had audiences filled with music fans and critics alike raving about their new music. On the brink of the release of their second music video of the album for their latest single Bad man, he comin’, Mr Cat & The Jackal brings Sins & Siren Songs to Bohemia.
