Rock ’n Rouge musical comedy cabaret group, has been providing audiences with comedy, glamour, song, dance and a little bit of naughty in a variety of venues around the Cape for over two years.  Following a very successful show at the Artscape earlier this year under the artful hand of their newly appointed director, Garth Tavares (Waterfront Theatre School), the Rock ’n Rouge artistes are proud that their August show is part of the Masque’s Theatre Festival.

The show includes some of their old favourites like “The Song that Goes Like This”, “The Girl in 14G” and “ Two Mammas”, as well as some  brand new numbers from hit shows like “Sister Act – The Musical”, “We Will Rock You” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.

Each of the group’s four performers bring their own personality, style and experience but come together to produce a show that is funny, visually striking and musically pleasing.

The four performers are Luella Holland who lives in Claremont and is a drama graduate, she has appeared at Artscape, Kalk Bay Theatre and Grahamstown Festival, to name but a few.  Julian Fernandez who lives in Vredehoek has always shown a keen interest in music, having performed at the Artscape, in the UK, on German TV and will soon be seen in “Fiddler on the Roof” at Artscape.  Jennifer Moss lives in Fish Hoek and has performed internationally, at Artscape, the Masque Theatre and is a multi-award winner for her excellent roles in various musicals.  Chenara Fenton also lives in Vredehoek and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London and Paris.  She is an accomplished jazz singer and is hoping to release a solo album this year.  Garth Tavares has won numerous awards for directing, choreographing and performing. He is currently lecturing musical theatre repertoire at the Waterfront Theatre School.

As the show is on for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Sunday 7 August at 7pm during the Theatre Festival, book now to avoid disappointment as this group has always had completely full houses. Tickets are R75 (Masque Theatre Club Members R65).  To book phone Masque Theatre Bookings on 021 788 1898 (o/h)
